This website was inspired by Celine Nguyen's Substack piece exercises in style: bill beckley's "cake story", which built off of Bill Beckley's artworks Cake Story and Diedre's Story to create a flash fiction exercise. In short, it is to choose a picture you have taken, write fiction surrounding it, and present it in Bill Beckley's style. We take submissions from anyone and everyone, and only scan for general coherency before posting, so please submit your flash fiction!
